Welcome to Custom Boat Names

In 2003 I started Custom Boat Names in southern New England to make it fun and easy for boaters to name their boats.
 
More than 30 years earlier I was born into a boating and fishing family, and grew up on the Connecticut coast. I was a lucky kid - My earliest memories involve cruising around Long Island Sound in various power-, sail- and even row boats with family and friends; spotting the names on the backs of other boats would be a constant game.
 
I remember that seeing the boat names in my home port would be like seeing old relatives - familiar and welcoming; but it was especially fun to visit a new port of call and see all the boat names you never saw before! And it was exciting to see the various ports they called home, listed under each name.
Did that boat really sail up here all the way from the Bahamas?!
Look! They're from Connecticut, too!
